Britney Spears will finally tell her story, and she will do it through an autobiographical book.

The singer herself announced on Instagram that her new book, titled The Woman in Me , will cover the events that took place in July during her father’s guardianship, which was removed in 2021 after 13 years.

Described as ” a brave and surprisingly moving story about freedom, fame, motherhood, survival, faith and hope”, The Woman in Me , published by Gallery Books, will be released on October 24, but is available now for presale. Announcing the release of the book, Britney Spears said: “It’s coming, my story, on my terms, finally.

“I went out of my way for this book, had to do a lot of therapy to finish it So guys I hope you like it.”

What Britney Spears will tell in her book

In the autobiography, the singer will talk about her speech in court and “the impact it had on her voice – her truth”. In the official press release, Jennifer Bergstrom, vice president and publisher of Gallery Books, said:

The Woman in Me reveals for the first time her incredible journey. Written with remarkable candor and humor, Britney Spears’ groundbreaking book illuminates the enduring power of music and love and the importance of a woman telling her own story, finally on her own terms.

“Britney’s compelling testimony in court shook the world, changed the law, and showcased her inspiring strength and courage. I have no doubt her memoir will have a similar impact and be the publishing event of the year.”

This autobiographical book comes more than a year and a half after the singer landed a $15 million contract to chronicle her rise to fame, her strained relationship with her family, and her 12-year legal guardianship.
